What a Recipe Computer App looked like in the early 1980s - RETRO

Okay okay, these things weren't called apps then. They were sometimes referred to as applications, but mostly as "programs." Getting a recipe is as easy as one-two-three thanks to the internet. Storing your own recipes requires a simple app on your tablet, laptop or smartphone.

Back in early to mid-1980s, you would have to go a computer store and shop for a "recipe" program. The one here is for the Coleco ADAM computer and used skeuomorphic design to simulate index cards to store the recipes, as you would if you had a recipe index. This particular program even has some sample recipes and the video I made shows how it works. I made it a point to record the loading of the program in real time so you understand how patient computer users were back in the day!
