Tokyo Visit: Meiji Shrine (Meiji Jingu) Part 1
We took the subway going to Meiji Jingu. I am very interested with how this shrine looks because based on the online information, it has a forest, in fact, a forest in the city of Tokyo. And if I look at the map of the city, this thick green forest is definitely interesting. Any visitor would want to check it.
There are several entrances to the shrine and I have no idea what entrance did we take. I just knew there's a restaurant or cafe outside and a huge tori gate in brown as well.
The trees are definitely lively here. I wonder if the city of Tokyo was once filled with forest too? However, after learning more about the history of this spot, I found that the trees were planted by the ancient Japanese and they had kept it sacred and healthy.
Going here is like being in a different part of Japan.
