Today's Gratitude: April 8, 2018
April 8, 2018
Today, I’m grateful for:
The ocean. The ocean fills my spirit entirely. I always long for the calls of seagulls, and the smell of salt in the air. After all, look at the cover photo of the Daily Gratitude, it's of the beach in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. When I'm near the ocean, I feel at peace and one with myself and the world we live in, and when I'm away from it, I watch YouTube videos of waves rolling in on a tropical beach! I'm not even joking, I'll put it up on a big projector screen and just close my eyes and listen to the waves, and then open my eyes and take in the turquoise waters and the palms swaying in the breeze, and imagine as if I'm there. In fact, even as I write this, I have one of those videos playing in the background so that I can hear the waves. I dream at night of the ocean, the beach, and being out on the water, and I daydream about it as well. But most of all, along with light, water also gives us life. And we are so lucky to live in such an incredible world that is filled with fresh water for us to drink, as well as vast oceans filled with wonder and biodiversity.
Another day of life!
God's incredible creation of the world, which He filled with so many wonders for us to discover and revel in.
We can never count our blessings enough, so I will look to make my gratitude different each time, as I continue to be given so much every day.
But every day, #2 will be my expression of gratitude for the chance to live another day, as it truly is a gift, not a guarantee. And #3 will always be dedicated to Him, for being our eternal guidance and our loving Father.
What are you grateful for?
