Today's Gratitude: April 16, 2018
April 16, 2018
Today, I’m grateful for:
Warmth. When it's cold out, it's a huge help to bring your local homeless new socks, hand warmers, and winter hats. For those of us who are lucky to have houses that we get to go home to each night, you know the value of getting out of the winter cold and into the warmth and comfort of your home. The same goes for the warmth of a mother's embrace. These are things that bring us comfort and give us respite from the cold. They are like being called to your place of belonging. So whenever we have a chance, we should bring others the warmth that we are lucky to experience, so that we can spread the comfort and feeling of belonging to our brothers and sisters who are less fortunate.
Another day of life!
God calling us home to his domain and the warmth of his embrace when our life on this Earth ends.
We can never count our blessings enough, so I will look to make my gratitude different each time, as I continue to be given so much every day.
But every day, #2 will be my expression of gratitude for the chance to live another day, as it truly is a gift, not a guarantee. And #3 will always be dedicated to Him, for being our eternal guidance and our loving Father.
What are you grateful for?
I was also thinking of the weather today and grateful for a warm house. It is Marathon Monday in Boston, the runners are facing cold, wind and rain. I usually hope that the weather for the marathon is ideal for the runners. They didn't get today.
Yeah, I heard they were facing all the element today. It's crazy that there are even snow flurries going on down South in April.
I heard that about half of the elite runners dropped out of the race. The women that won thought about, until she realized she was in third place.
Jeez, that's wild, I hadn't heard that. Yeah at that point she had to go for the win
