The Path To Steemit Success For Noobs
Depending on how long you have been on Steemit, you might have had the thought "How do I become a Steemit success?" From my investigations I have seen a few ways. Some not as ethical as others.
I will list the ones I have come across and if you have any other ideas then leave me a comment in the box and I will add it to my post
The Purist
One method is using Steemit in strictly the way it was meant to be used. Creating great content and being rewarded for it. Of course great content depends on your point of view and whilst I try to create decent content I can't make people think it's great.
Pros
You are using the platform as it should be used
You have the feeling that you are contributing your best
People are following your content as they enjoy it
Cons
Is a slow (but valuable process)
Fighting the feeling of not being good enough when a post gets zero interaction The Bot Master
Some accounts are known as Bots. They seem to work by paying them Steem and then they upvote your content or promote it in someway. Seems a little bit naughty but as they aren't illegal then is it a case of if you can't beat them, join them?
Pros
Might be able to boost your posts for faster results
Cons
Will cost you money
No regulation, could be open to being scammed
Could help poor content becoming powerful
The Competitor
Some accounts are running competitions in a way to boost themselves and also help you. Although I thought I read somewhere that one shouldn't ask for upvotes as part of a competition. These might be a good idea in terms of inspiration and it remains to be seem if people then create competition entries just for an entry rather than creating amazing content.
Pros
Could gain you additional exposure
Wont cost you money to do it
Cons
Could be a root of very similar articles being churned out for the sake of it
The Beggar
Definitely a NO NO on the Steemit platform, however there are some Facebook groups that seem to revolve around people asking for upvotes in exchange for upvotes for a follow for a follow
Pros
None
Cons
Against Steemit rules
Creates a spam farm
Time spent posting requests might not actually result in anything as most people are doing it for themselves rather than looking to help.
Last but not least is Steemfollower. I couldn't think of a relevant image so... Anyway Steemfollower seems to be a system to try and get you more visibility.
It's NOT a vote for vote system. Sign up here https://steemfollower.com/?r=13134
Here is a video by @reseller which really explains the platform
Happy Steeming
These are good observation as a new member of the platform. Even though good content will take more effort but I believe there are still many who try to make their content outstanding since not everyone can pay to get high steempower for greater influence. Since we are still in the early 2 years of the platform, we are still the pioneer. We may still have great advantage by putting some effort in our content as well as using some of the marketing tools that you mentioned in your article. All the best!
Thanks for your comment. It is crazy to think the platform is only 2 years old. I hope that people agree with you about the good content as it seems a shame if Steemit became a spam farm
