#MY NYSC DIARY "DAY 1 to 5"
Good day steemian, as you all know am Olayinka James a graduate of Social Work from University of Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria.
At first, I was worried about where to serve my father land because I don't want to be far away from my region. But I pray to God to lead me to the right State for my service, which God answered my prayer by posting me to OSUN STATE.
Am currently performing my NATIONAL YOUTH SERVICE CORPS program at Osun state which is one of the peaceful state in the country (Nigeria). Osun also has the best camp for her CORP members, the CAMP environment is cool and Osun citizens are friendly, generous and entertaining.
I will like to write short history about the state and am very sure you would be eager to visit the state for your next tourism.
Osun state is known as the Central State of all the Yoruba lineage, and its surrounded by major rivers which the name was derived from (RIVER OSUN). Osun citizen always worship this river because its protect them, give their women children once they drink water from the river and also performs miraculous things for them. Osun has lots of tourists attractions such as Osun-Osogbo strike, Opa Oranmiyan (Oranmiyan Staff) located at ile-ife and lots more...
NYSC simply means National Youth Service Corps, it's a scheme programmed by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the aim of this scheme is to foster good relationship among Nigerian graduates (for every gradutes to have knowledge of other people's culture/ttradition), its also promote inter-tribal marriage (e.g Igbo man marrying Yoruba lady) this help in reducing inter-tribal war in Nigeria.
I should have posted all these updates about my stay at the CAMP since January 16th when I arrived at thr CAMP but I don't have time to type because the CAMP is regimented I.e is control by the Nigeria Army and we were restricted from using phone in many places.
Below are the wonderful pictures taken from the CAMP from day 1 which is January 16th to this moment of writing this article. Kindly enjoyed and follow
