"High & Dry"
is a song and single by the British band Radiohead, belonging to their second studio album The Bends and released as a double single with "Planet Telex" in February 1995 only in the UK, except for the whole world because The Bends' first single outside the UK was Fake Plastic Trees.
It is one of the best known songs of the band, as well as one of the least "alternative" and softer musically. This, along with the other singles on the album, helped position The Bends as one of the most successful albums of the decade, and the most successful and critically acclaimed by Radiohead to date.1
After the tour to present the album, the song has been the victim of a "self-veto" by the group, being scarcely played live, similar to the case of "Creep".
