It was my first day at school🏫.
I had just been posted to a school to do my National Youth Service in a state I had not been before. The North.

I was so happy. 😄😃😁
It'll be my first time in the school as the new class teacher.

I got to the class introduced myself to the class.

They all seemed happy to have a new Chemistry teacher.

I decided to use the day to get familiar with the students.

They all said their names one after the other except one.

She was dark, quiet, slim and seemed reserved.

I waited for her to speak like everyone else but she said nothing.

Hey, what's your name? I asked her, walking up to her.

She gave me a somewhat stern look 👀and didn't respond.

The whole class was silent. No one said a thing. Not even murmur.

I turned back to see if everyone was still in class and surprisingly, they were.

"What is your name Miss?" I asked again for the umpteenth time and she gave me the look again but said nothing.

I had been warned beforehand by the head teacher never to use cane on anyone.
If not, I knew I'd have flogged the hell out of her.

Why was she been silent on me? I wondered🤔💭

She looked up again at me, and this time, I could feel the rage from her eyes.

Alright class, we'll have to end here. Said me, feeling somewhat dizzy.

I took my books and walked out of the class shamefully. I still couldn't believe a young girl would be so disrespectful as to keep silent on me.

I called a student out who looked so welcoming and brought him to my office.

"Who is that girl?" I asked immediately we got to the office.

"Ah, Uncle, me I can't tell o" the student said, raising up his hands in a way that seemed he was surrendering.

"Talk to me Kofi, I scolded.

I'm sorry Sir. But I can't say. I don't know Sir.

The way he talked shakingly, I felt he was hiding something.
I had to dismiss him when there was no valuable information coming from him.

There was something fishy about the lady. Why was she silent on me? Why was everyone quiet when I asked for her name? Why did the boy feel so scared to give me any valuable information?

Something wasn't right 🤔 and I must find it.

I immediately felt a strong headache and I had to take excuse from the head teacher to go home.

I didn't understand what was happening.

I was fine when I left the house this morning.

I took a bike and headed home straight.

I slept off immediately I got home and........

The creaking sound on my door jolted me out of the bed.

I looked around, and couldn't find anything moving, the door was still locked.
It must have been my dreams, I said and made to lie down on the bed to continue my sleep.

After a short while, I felt something pulling my legs.

It was dark and I couldn't see a thing but I could feel the pull.

It was so strong I sat up on the bed only to find her sitting comfortably at the side of the bed giving me that same scary look 👀😱💀👻

Ww-hhhh-aaaa-t arrrrreeee yyyyouuuu doinnnng here? I stammered.

You wanted to know my name🤷🏻‍♀
I only came to tell you.
She said, in a voice that sounded like the voice of many.

I was shivering already as I couldn't contain the shock anymore.

"Why didn't you tell me in school?"

"Do you wanna ask questions or you want to know my name?" She said once more raising her eyebrows.

Yooouuuur name please. 😫🙏🙏

My name is Aisha, she said.

Stood up from the bed and made to the door which opened on its own accord as soon as she approached it.

I stayed still, shivering and sweating profusely at the same time.

I immediately made to lock the door but found out that it was securely locked.

This was a mystery I knew I should find out but how? 🤔

And that was the beginning of my adventure...........
