Summer Time

I had just finished high school, summer was here. Summer. What a great time to smoke weed. Everyone is happy, people are beautiful and the air is warm.
So I smoked. A lot. And I went to weird places to buy some more. And smoked some more. I even started to make friends with dealers, cause you see them so often anyways.
And they are weird. Much of them anyway.

College

Fuck school!!! That was new my motto when I went to college. It's just that I never did my homeworks because: weed. This is where an addiction can get in the way as a daily user.

Weed becomes more important than pretty much anything else

And so weed won. And grades lost. I also felt lost. The only thing really differenciating me being this. It was taking all the place in my life.

A second chance

Abandoning the idea of going to university because of bad grades, I decided to take computer programming courses for 3 years. The first year helped me get motivated because my grades went way up. But weed was still getting in the way in forms of mood changes, depressed states and general lack of motivation.

With time, grades started to go down mostly due to an increase to my smoking habits. I often smoked at school during breaks and would go to classes not being fully concentrated. First thing I would do coming home would also be this. And then homeworks would get dumped (Again, motivation).

Certain strains are better for productivity than others. If you live in a state where it's legal, the budtender at your dispensary can help you find ways to get the buzz without it couching you.

Yeah where I live it was/is still illegal so I took what was available ;)

Indicas and sativas can produce dramatically different effects. I have been using it for almost 20 years, and I pretty much can't function without it. I usually use an indica or hybrid vape cartridge with about 70% THC and 2% CBD.

Sounds like couch lock to me lol

Yeah smoking pot and stuying / working is not for everyone it takes dedication beyond simple moods and thoughts :)

I´ve landed a 7 year long engineering degree in biochemistry and learned the german language, invested in cryptos all while being stoned for 10 years straight, DAILY! :)

Find your calling in life, then smoke!

Good luck <3

Yup I think people can do it. It's a personnal story, and yours may vary.
Also I can smoke from time to time now, but would never go back to smoking everyday. Ever.

sounds great!

Yeah the effect corresponds to our persons, guess I am more stressed out :)

Peace

nice post, addiction may be bad sometime...you alone can also set yourself free.. thanks for sharing

Oh I'm free now :) It's a story of my "previous" life !

I could never go back to smoking weed, I would not mind (not daily) once in a while. But with my job one drug test and my career is over, shocking abuse of my rights but hey its a deterrent although not smoked daily for over ten year. But one join is always nice, but no! 💯🐒

Yeah it sounds like weed makes you lose your motivation.. that can be a problem.. especially if you're doing something that requires concentration and dedication.. like school work..

Yes. I'm glad that time is over for me :)
