I don't want to stop here but I have no choice. I need to make an exchange and 396 is the only station in this galaxy, I can't afford fly another 326,248 miles.
It shouldn't be this dangerous, I only want to pick up a few essentials, but I've heard stories, murmurs, that one wrong move and I could lose my ship or even worse my life.
As I descend I am cautious. I follow the protocol to the letter.
The controller gives me permission for entry and I touch land.
A wave of anxiety creeps through my bones, I take a breath and try to calm myself.
The hatch opens and I'm blinded by a bright light, wish me luck...

I love reading sci-fi but my writing capabilities are limited, it would probably take me six months to write a short story! If only we had more hours in the day!
