As my reputation grows up, I've come to realized it is time for me to help Steemit and reach out to people as my way of giving back from the goodness I have received here. In my little ways of helping, I was having a chance to introduce it to the Catholic Church nearby. It happens last week during my charity event where I distributed my handmade personalized face masks to the churchgoers. I labeled each face mask with a steemit logo.

At the Catholic Church

A portion of my earned SBD was used to buy materials to complete my project. I sewed 70pcs of customized face masks and gave them for free as my way of doing a charity since face mask has now become a necessity. It was so fulfilling though never in my dream I thought of doing it, yet I just did it! And it's all because of steemit. In the middle of the mass, it was announced that there will be a face mask distribution and a charity event funded by Steemit.

Meet-up with @crishanako,

She is a Filipina teacher. She handled English in elementary school here in Japan. She is one of my friends that I successfully convinced to join steemit. Her teaching experiences can be potential content to the steemit community. I helped her signed up for an account weeks ago. We planned to have a meet-up, and talk about how to log in, and same time we talked about the different keys. I explained to her the importance of those keys and gave her tips on how to secure them safely. We also planned to introduced steemit to her school. I know it won't be easy because of language barriers especially the Japanese language. But we will try and make plans on how to do it.

Meet-up with @jobreyes24,

He shows his creativity by showing his achievement 2, by his own paintings, hmmm... I think we've got an artist here! He called me to meet and talk about steemit. We talked about the reason for bandwidth. I also assisted him in how to power up. Why he can't upvote as many as he likes. Proper posting and tagging. He did his best to learn all of those important things. I also told him to invest little by little to grow his steem power. It was actually fun to introduce steemit to people. Some were eager to learn while others are just after about the earnings but have not started yet, have not even registered an account. While there are lots of side comments, a lot of those who have already started find steemit to be addicting. I reminded them to always aim to be original in every post and at all cost never copy and paste from google.

Meet-up with @maimai80,

She shows her interest in learning about the steemit platform. As a newbie, she found it difficult to finish her first post... “Achievement 1” in particular. I assisted her and do some corrections to her post. I also taught her proper tagging, how to upload pictures and videos. I told her to download Grammarly since it is the best checker for grammar and spelling to her writings. I encourage her to explore through reading some other posts for her to learn more. Though there are lots of things to learn, I think I just taught her enough. Enough to have convinced her to be active in posting.
I also emphasized to them the importance of powering up. As early as now they needed this the most. As I have learned curators don't give support to users who kept on selling their steem. We cannot deny the fact that without the support there is no way we can stay on this platform as it is the number one reason why we are here... to learn and earn. Without proper guidance, promoting steemit will just be a waste since newcomers might just come in a day and vanish forever.
