A Brief Steemit Meet-Up Amidst The Pandemic and Helping A Friend To Create Steemit Account||Steemit Promotion Campaign Series by @juichi

Finally, Japan had lifted its state of emergency meaning everything is slowly going back to normal now. In the area where I live, Hachinohe Aomori, coronavirus cases still exist and vaccination is ongoing. I have not received my scheduled date for vaccination yet, so I just put all my trust in the Lord.

It’s been a month since we made an order for Steemshirts together with my fellow Steemians here in Japan. Finally, we were able to have it last week. The design was just simple, we just want to give focus on the steemlogo. It cost 2,800 yen, that is around 4sbd each. This is my first time designing and I am very excited to wear it on our meet-ups and steem promotion.

So, we arranged a schedule for a meet-up. It is needed because most of my invites are new to this platform and they start to ask questions about steemit. They even find it hard to log in. It is hard to explain if I don't teach them in person. Good thing we already have our steemshirt, we were finally able to use it. I asked my co-steemian @rfprincess to go with me to a friend's house where our meet-up be held.

We patiently wait for our bus and took this selfie to ease our boredom. In the schedule, we have to wait for 30 minutes. We took our ride for almost 30 minutes. And we enjoy talking about steemit while riding and have to maintain the basic protocol which is social distancing. Sometimes we are not aware that we are talking too loud already.

I bought this bucket of chicken and a cake as our snack during this meet-up.

The moment we arrive at my friend's house, we directly start our meeting and discuss with her the following objectives:

Here are our objectives for this meet-up;

  1. How to make a Steemit Account.
  2. How to Log in.
  3. Importance of different Keys.
  4. Self Introduction to the Newcomer's community.
  5. About the Communities.
  6. Beautification of a blog using Grammarly and canva.
  7. What is plagiarism and how to check a plagiarized post using.
  8. How to have an upvote.
  9. What are the articles to be posted in Steemit.
  10. Investment to Steemit by powering up.

Our meeting took almost more than one hour. I hope that I was able to discuss all those objectives properly and hope it may help them understand more about steemit.

I help my friend to create a new account. She can't open her previous account because she misplaced the password. She was not using that account also even once, maybe she was not interested in Steemit at that time. Good thing that after our meet-up she shows interest and seems she is very excited to share her post.

After helping her create a new account, then I assisted her on her first post at the Newcomers community with her self-introduction. She was also verified by @cryptokannon immediately. I also asked her to do a verification post on our community the Steemit Philippines so that she will be known also in our country. She is a potential content writer since she is a teacher here in Japan and loves DIY. I know she has a lot of interesting stories to tell. According to her, she will also invite her families and relatives in the Philippines, she is from Luzon in particular.

I am glad that I am slowly doing what I've promised which is to promote Steemit amid this pandemic. We just follow the standard protocols to keep up safe.

We are planning a meet-up again next week with the Japanese friends and fellow Filipinos who are already living here. Hopefully, this is another success. By these meet-ups, I know it will bring a big impact someday and a good start for Steemit to be known here in Japan. I hope someone will continue to share steemit here when I'll be back in the Philippines.

What completes our meet-up is having this cake. We enjoy having it and talking about the lives of our families in the Philippines.

Best regards,
@juichi
