This table is made of the hash values of many possible passwords.

This inturn gives them the opportunity to quickly compare the hashed password from a breached database and identify the corresponding plaintext password.

This means that users with the same password will have different hash representation.

With the application of cryptographic salts, there is a need for attackers to create a separate precomputed table for each possible salt value.

And this goes a long way in increasing the computational effort needed for this attack.
