WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY ABOUT CHRISTIANS AND MEDICAL SCIENCE?

HELLO STEEMIANS OF THE CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY!, this is my second blog of the day.
And i will be talking about one of the most discussed topics in africa and the world as a whole.

Medical science is coming to grasp some of the truths the Bible noted thousands of years before hand. Take for example Proverbs 25:16, "Hast thou found honey? eat so much as is sufficient for thee, lest thou be filled therewith, and vomit it".

Literally that is a warning against consumption of too much sugar or sweet things.
Eating it without moderation will make you vomit, that is sick. It is no longer a secret that diabetes is a leading cause of death in today's world.

But, there have been questions arising in some Christian communities, people wondering if God is in support of us using drugs to heal the sick.
Saying that we should only hope on God whenever we're Ill.
But, Since the Bible is the basis for a Christian’s faith, we
should seek the basis of our answers there. When we
look into the Bible, we find this: God has nowhere
commanded Christians to avoid doctors or
checkups, nor to refuse medicines, blood
transfusions, inoculations or surgery.

Certain verses that are misunderstood as dictating against
medical aid will be reviewed shortly. But many other
scriptures either show God’s neutrality toward medicine,
or even lean toward the use of medicines as appropriate.
GODS WORD : OUR GUIDE AS CHRISTIANS

Genesis 17:10-14 , for example, commands the
procedure of circumcision to Abraham. God ordained this
minor surgery, so there is obviously nothing sacrosanct
about human skin; cutting into the flesh is not inherently
defiling.
Physicians are called Joseph’s "servants" in Genesis
50:2 . And the word for physicians here is the same
word used for God as healer in Exodus 15:26 .
Proverbs 17:22 states, "A merry heart does good like a
medicine." This verse does not cast medicines in a
negative light. To the contrary, the metaphor is a positive
one.
