MY TRAVAILS AS AN ARSENAL FAN

I became an Arsenal fan in 1998
When i became a gunner we competed for trophies,
Every season we were sure of a trophy,
Our Attackers were lethal, our defenders were rugged, our midfielders were Architects producing beautiful displays week in week out,

I have seen our best players Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri leave in a week without any replacement for them.
Club captains Thierry Henry and Patrick Viera leave our club when we needed them most.
The season Robin Van Persie was injury free and won the highest goal scorer award, our reward was watching him cross carpet to our bitter rivals Manchester United ,
With dismay I put off the television when it was set for him to get guard of honour at the Emirates,
I couldn't watch that biko,

I have seen my club battered 8-2, at the Emirates,
I have seen us lose with an aggregate of 10-2 to Bayern Munich,

From Competing for the EPL TROPHY,
We became the LANDLORDS of FOURTH PLACE,
Now we are Top 6 contenders,
Tomorrow we might be fighting for relegation with Sunderland and others.

I am not moved watching Alexis Sanchez leave.
I am like a man married to a barren woman,
My marriage to Arsenal is for better for worse.
