BRAVE Reward System Updates
Many of you already know the Brave browser.
This browser allows an experience without unwanted advertising on your screen, is faster and lighter than Chrome and also allows you to receive rewards with it´s Basic Attention Token (BAT).
Recently, the BAT developer team included a new update that allows you to better manage the tips you receive as a content creator on your YouTube, Reddit and Twitter channels.
As you should know, Brave allows you to manage your profits with the creation and synchronization of your Uphold wallet.
There your earnings will be deposited monthly. You can choose to receive them as BAT tokens or in USD.
The novelty in this case is that previously the tips were deposited in a BRAVE wallet that is part of the browser.
Now individual spaces were created for each channel inside your Uphold wallet for the reception of your tips.
In my case I received earnings with the referral program offered by Brave. I have hardly received tips from my channels.

I have my website, twitter and YouTube accounts linked to BAT as a creator, but today I will link my only active YouTube channel (the one of Mono Money).
I am just starting with this creation in many platforms at the same time. I hope that my other channels (and projects) will be active to the end of September.
BAT is a great solution to monetize our spaces immediately, but for that to success it needs many more users willing to support creators by the Brave Browser.
We need to keep sharing the news about that, as you do here. !tip

I've been hearing about Brave Browser for quite some time and I already moved from Firefox to this particular browser. However I never really cared much about possibility of being rewarded with BAT token.
Have anyone here tried to earn BAT tokens? From my understanding users can receive some small amounts for simple fact of using this browser, right?
As great as it sounds - it also does raise some questions: where demand for those tokens would be coming from? How do they create value and ensure that someone would need to purchase those tokens in the future.
Do they do buy-backs based on their revenue? Or do those tokens deliver some utility?

157 BAT tokens? That's like over 30usd worth of tokens? Not bad. Can they be traded easily, for instance to STEEM?
Would you mind explaining a bit how does this program works?
From my understanding you're receiving some BAT whenever some user would not only download, but install browser (and it's somehow being confirmed). Right?
And it's one time payment, correct? Or do you receive some small amount of BAT tokens for anything else?

BAT is much more liquid than STEEM actually. It's tradable on Coinbase for instance where Steem isn't. BAT also ranks higher than STEEM in terms of market cap. I will love to see collaboration between BAT and Steem in the future. Will be great to be able to earn both BAT and STEEM when posting on the steem platform

I'm still not sure what create demand for BAT token. Where value comes from?
The value comes largely from advertisers who want to push their advertisements to website visitors. Instead of paying in fiat, the advertisers will pay in BAT. Website visitors can opt in to view ads and get paid in BAT. In addition, visitors can also tip content creators with BAT if they like the content.
The key selling point for BAT is privacy. They promise not to track users in any way and ads viewing is purely on an opt-in basis. You can read up more about it here.
BAT is one of the few ICOs that have really delivered on their promises so far and looking good

As you can see in my post I have tried to win some BAT tokens and I have achieved it in a small amount. Those 157 BAT is a small amount, I have seen cases of people earning up to 300 usd per month. For this they must have a good portfolio of followers. Generally they are influencers, mostly youtubers who have many followers.
Yes, they are completely interchangeable. I have never done it directly to Steem, but I have changed it to ETH or DASH and then to STEEM.
This referral program works as follows:
You must first register as a content creator Here
There you must place your channels where you create content. Youtube, reddit, twicht, twitter or with your own website are accepted.
Once you do this you will receive your promotional links for referrals.
Then, you must be ingenious to share those links with your friends and followers, so that they download Brave, install Brave and use it at least 3 times over the course of 1 month.
When you meet these conditions, then you will receive a single payment for each referral, it should be about 20 BAT per referral.
For more information and resources, I recommend you join the Brave Community. There you will receive online response from the operators who are 24 hours willing to attend. On two occasions I used the community support and I was surprised by the excellent attention I received.
