Cryptocurrency Dabbling on NYE: Why not start on the logical day?
Cryptocurrency Thoughts
1. Where Once Was Light, Now Only Darkness...and Vice Versa
We've entered the phase of the current cryptocurrency season where the primary point of interest is that the volatile nature of the currency value, far from being depressing because there are sharp drops that punctuate longer gains, is the opposite. Now the volatility is exciting, because the amount of money I'm losing on this experiment decreases by roughly 10 USD at some point in the day, and I think the long decline is over, only for regularly-scheduled drain-circling programming to kick back in ten seconds later. Oh, well. I knew what I was getting into.
2. "Why Kick Off a Yearlong Project on December 20, Instead of You Know, January 1?
This is a great question that probably you're not paying enough attention to my project to have thought of, but it's one I thought of, and I have an answer for you. My answer is built on a complex analysis of market trends and introspection by which I concluded that if I start a yearlong project on December 20, I can withdraw my money (should I choose to do so) in time to take advantages of year-end clearance sales.
That's the whole reasoning. Again, this is an "Average Joe" kind of undertaking.
Non-Cryptocurrency Thoughts
Happy New Year's! And if all those folks with alternative calendars whose years start at different dates start giving you trouble, you should...be nice to them.
I remain disappointed in the college football bowl season.
