[Films Critics] Modern Love
Love, that powerful and destructive feeling that is capable of taking people along all sorts of dangerous and fortunate paths, love is undoubtedly one of the elements that are constantly being expressed in films, an infinite feeling that undoubtedly will not cease to be exposed in different ways. Why do I talk so much about love? Because that is the main theme of the series I want to share with you today; Modern Love.

Going deeper into story.
The theme of this series is love, hence my little speech at the beginning, in fact this series basically tries to expose love in all its splendor through different stories that lead us little by little to experience in a very deep and detailed way the various types of love that can be experienced in a relationship, because yes throughout its development the series will give us very clear clues that detail the difference between the love of a family member, between the love of a couple, between love for something and of course the love of an idea. Basically this series has 8 different plots that are developed separately but all converge in a central milestone that is love. Although the stories develop separately have so many similarities, in each story we see exposed different problems and conflicts arising from love, the story triumphs greatly by letting us experience so precisely the deception interest, hatred and other elements that usually accompany love.
Finally, as I said the story of this series is to explain love through 8 love stories where we can see the dynamics of couples of different people who react to different elements, we will have for example a couple who is found and magically falls in love, another married who is unfaithful, another who feels an extremely uncontrolled sexual attraction, finally real stories taken to a point somewhat unrealistic but certainly give us a great vestige of how love is today.

My problem with this kind of love.
If I'm totally honest, I didn't like the series so much because it's impregnated with a touch of fairy tale that makes all the intensity and dramatic performances of the actors get a little lost, basically what I mean is that the stories were noticeably softened to convey a less harsh message, you notice the intention of this series; To enchant the most romantic with almost perfect stories where love always wins and do not misunderstand me I do not dislike the idea of focusing everything on love always wins, what I dislike about this series is the way they developed and ended the stories, all seem fairy tale, ie without hard realities, realities that make us pay attention and above all allow us to learn the lesson that couples remarkably want to teach us.
I also have to emphasize that the rhythm of all the chapters is very well achieved, the atmospheres that are created in each one of the situations is the adequate one in spite of the fact that they end up diluting in a small sea of classic amorous fetishes. Besides that the chemistry between the different couples that was achieved is incredible, although the scenes are somewhat badly finished the aura of the actors with each other is very pleasant because they raise the intensity and tone of stories so soft.

Without a doubt this is a series that could perhaps have been done better, with such a brilliant group of actors the creators had to work more on the reality and drama of the stories, instead of softening them so that they would be more acceptable and digestible for the audience. I understand that this is a love story, but I don't understand why they watered down the stories so much when the original material is really more intense and emotional. It would have been a total achievement to find a way to give more emotion to the stories in order to achieve something more adult where the air of soap opera was not so present. I really felt that the creators missed the opportunity by betting on a series too loaded with cheap romanticism instead of endowing it with a deeper reality, a reality that could come and touch the hearts of more people.
Final Thoughts
I repeat the series is not bad, I just didn't like it enough and I understand it because you can see that it was directed to a romantic public that loves love stories without so many complications, that is to say stories that in the end we want them to finish in a positive way without so many surprises. The rhythm isn't bad either, only it doesn't allow the plots of the stories to take off completely and that's understandable because of the tone of the series.
This is an endearing series that surely many will love because it fulfills what it promises in a wonderful way thanks to a group of first class actors who give us very good moments, moments that although I don't enjoy at all I will remember for a long time.
Another remarkable thing about the series is that since it is developed independently, we don't need a constant thread of argument, that is to say that neither the good chapters are tarnished nor the weaker chapters are enlarged, each chapter, each story is concrete in what it is and in what it wants to show.
My Score: 6,6/10
