I left the bank and passed the supermarket in my neighborhood. A truck stopped to unload a few bags of dog food, and when the deliveryman went to take the first bag, he tripped on the sidewalk, and the bag fell to the ground.
With the impact of the bag on the floor, the bag opened, spreading the dog food on all sides. He apologized to the supermarket supervisor, who did not pay much attention to it, because it was not his fault and asked the delivery man to unload the other bags fast, because the stock of dog food was empty.
The scene that caught my attention was that on the other side of the street was a street dog. He was malnourished, with a sad look, gasping for thirst and heat, and gradually approached the pile of dog food scattered on the floor.
Many would think that because he was hungry on the street, he would run and eat with all the will of the world that mountain of food scattered on the street as if it were a "grace from heaven." But not.
He was slowly approaching, very cautious and afraid of being mistreated by someone (perhaps by the delivery man who was unloading the truck), but none of this happened.
The street dog ate slowly all the food until he was satisfied and leaving. At least the meal that day was guaranteed.
Hyenas aren't actually dogs. They are more closely related to cats.
Great story there about the dog. The cautious dog has something to teach us all
