TIL that I can watch more baby TV shows than I ever thought possible

in #til8 years ago

I remember a few years back thinking that my Barney watching days were long gone. I used to think I would never watch another baby television show ever again. Fast forward a couple years and I watch them every single day :) Such is the life of a Fommy...

And no we are not just talking Barney here... we are talking shows like:

Harry the Bunny

Fred and Fiona

Hide and Seek

Peekaboo I see you!

and my personal favorite...

Squeak!

It is fascinating watching how your child can be mesmerized by these shows. Just sit her down, give her a favorite stuffed animal (a bunny), turn on the show, and she is entertained! There is even an entire TV channel dedicated to babies now a days... called "babyfirst".

Any of you guys out there thinking these shows are terrible and that are saying to yourselves that you will never watch these kinds of shows... just wait till you are a father... they are a life saver! It keeps my daughter from destroying the house and gives Dad a much needed break. Can any of you dad's out there relate? :)

Live well my friends!

Or my personal favourite Teletubbies. After a tough morning playing 'chase the toddler' around the house its fun to just veg out in Lala land. "Again, again", said the Tubbies, lol. Those were the days I remember fondly.

Haha yes that does sound all too familiar!

I don't know those. Here, Paw Patrol is the king... I find them really painful to watch, but just being with my son in the coach is so worthy... ;)

Haha nice! I used to think there were really painful to watch as well... now I find myself singing along... wait don't tell anyone that part... what is wrong with me?! :)

It wasn't terrible . There was a talking salt and pepper shaker... which is nice.

Haha! Talking condiments... of course! No wonder my daughter always talks to the ketchup packets... :)

well said. the whole process of watching them in happy state getting entertained and amused is also fulfilling!

Oh yea... that too ;)

In all seriousness you are right though. It brings me a lot of joy to see her learning just a little bit more each day.

Yup, can totally relate. My daughter is the same, different shows in the UK but similar effect!! Octonauts, Hey Duggee and Sarah and Duck are her favourites. I try not to watch then get drawn in!!

Haha I hear you... they have catchy tunes!

It's all I hum in work these days!!

Yesterday I had to run to the store after dinner and it was raining a little and I caught myself singing to myself in the car... "it's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." that is when I knew I had been forever changed from what I was before :)
