Another week and another Elon Musk DOGE tweet sends DOGE skyward

We have seen this story play out all too many times over the last several years.

Elon Musk puts out some humorous DOGE tweet and the price of DOGE shoots way up.

The most recent example of this came earlier today...

He doesn't really think the DOGE standard is going to take over the legacy financial system, but it makes for a nice meme!

Elon tweets and DOGE responds...

Elon Musk tweeted the above tweet this morning and of course the price of DOGE responds...

It shot up some 20%+ immediately following the tweet and is still holding most of those gains.

I'll give you a hint... look for a big fat green candle on the far right side of the chart.

TikTok pump had already driven up the price of DOGE...

This pump comes on the heels of a rather large pump orchestrated on TikTok where users were basically operating their own pump and dump channel in the very public forum of TikTok.

The goal was to pump DOGE from fractions of a penny all the way to a dollar.

Of course they did not succeed as the amount of money need to do move it that much was extremely large, but they did succeed in moving the price from about $.0023 to about $.005, which is more than a double.

And that briefly took the total market cap to almost $700 million.

It seems the secret to getting eccentric billionaires to pay attention and pump your crypto project is that you need to make sure your cryptocurrency icon/image is that of a cute lovable animal, one that is perfect for memes.

If we wanted to enjoy some of these random price pumps and free publicity, perhaps this is where we made our mistake with our name. ;)
