Sunset on a hard day. (Local High School Shooting; one fatality)
We had a traumatic event in our community today. There was a school shooting at our local high school. This should not happen to any of our communities in the world. As a species we need to become enlightened and transcend beyond violence. I am not sure how it will happen, but I have hope in the human race.
I heard from two first responders before the news got involved. One is a cop, the other is a doctor. Both were called at approximately the same time, before news. The cop was called to the scene; the doctor to the ER at our most prominent hospital. 1 child died, 3 others were hurt. I am in shock. High school is too young to die. The ripples will flow through our community for years. This has never happened in our little hamlet before. Please keep us in thoughts, meditations, and prayer. We will need it.
I know this does not compare to school shootings elsewhere, but it really hit home.
This is a picture of the sunset today from my loft. I am just glad it signals the end of a hard day.

Oh my. Things like that can rock people to their very core. I am so sorry for your community and for the loss of that child's life. I wonder and hope the same things, will humanity ever go above this brutal ways. Rest in peace to the one that left the world today.
Thank you Top! I have some personal issues I am working through that are heightening my emotions. That said, I cried when I heard one of our kids died in a shooting. It should not happen. I don't remember crying in years.
I sometimes feel that we are the best versions of ourselves when we are working through our own personal issues because it allows us to be very raw and feel everything.
