Prayer of the Day
Lamentations 3:22-24
22 Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.
24 “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!”
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father, creator of all things visible and not visible, today we give thanks to my brothers in Christ and my person for guiding us on the path that has been drawn for us in this world. Thank you, for under any adversity or trial, again and again we can have joy, because you give us what is good even in bad times and when we have. When we have sadness your Lord is our strength. We thank you for your kindness and faithfulness that penetrates everything, and reaches the depths of our hearts. Then we can know and rejoice that it is your Spirit that guides us; to know that we will never be alone and that our strength comes from You to help us in the fire of the test that perfects us day by day. Everything becomes fruitful through your help: good and evil, life and death, health and suffering. Everything serves us for good because our hope is placed in you and your love, that your Holy Spirit guides us forever. We ask this in the name of your beloved son Jesus Christ. Amen.
Great idea for a daily prayer based on scripture. When we petition God, it is important to have a scriptural basis for our prayer. A foundation to build our requests upon.
