Our Best Friends Got Married This Weekend!
You guys probably noticed I was a little MIA this weekend. Sorry I wasn't posting, me and Skylar were out of town all weekend to see our best friends get married! Our two friends Brett and Hunter tied the knot this past Saturday. Skylar was in the wedding so she was looking extra pretty :)
Skylar and Hunter have been best friends their entire life. They grew up in the same small town, went to the same schools and have been best friends ever since they can remember.
I met hunter back in 2011 when I first started dating Skylar. I watched her get her heart broken by the guy she was dating at the time. I always knew she was the sweetest southern girl and that her true love would come along at some point. Well two years ago, Brett came into her life. Skylar and I didn't meet Brett for the first few months they dated because Hunter was living 5 hours way from us now due to college. Brett and I met for the first time on July 4th 2015. This picture was taken that day and it is pretty obvious we were total bros right off the bat haha.
We all kept hanging out as the months past by and in January, earlier this year, we all went snowboarding. Brett helped me plan the entire trip. In case you haven't been following me, this snowboarding trip is the one that I proposed to Skylar on! It was a very special weekend and it mad eHunter and Brett even more special to Skylar and I.
Now that you are caught up, here are Hunter and Brett this past weekend.
Hunter was absolutely beautiful and Brett was looking extra smooth! It was a beautiful ceremony, I can't say I didn't cry a little bit! haha.
Their first dance was awesome. They started out slow dancing and of course Brett had to show off his moves a little bit!
It was so awesome to see these two promise themselves to each other. I know they will have a lifetime of happiness and I am sure Skylar and I will be with them for most of it! Seeing them get married made me very anxious to marry Skylar. Our date is set for September 23, 2017!! It is almost exactly 1 year away. Thanks for viewing you guys and don't forget to follow:) Lots of love and positive energy to you all!!

Good work! It really sounds like some fun days! : ) I like how you spread those positive vibes! Cheers :) @jpiper20
Thank you!
Good job!
So was this a state licensed marriage? I am marrying the love of my life in December, we are going the stateless marriage route. We are going to author a trust between the two of us titled "Marriage" and contained in that document will be the terms of our marriage and child custody terms if a split is to happen. I'm going to make a post soon to throw some of my ideas around and get feedback.
Yes it was state licensed
Was this because of tradition, tax purposes, or was it done because the state offers the easiest and most well documented dispute and child custody resolution services? I would like to come up with a template for a contract between two individuals that covers everything the state marriage does. Knowing why people choose state licensed marriages helps me figure out how to provide an alternative.
traditional.
I was looking for my daily topography yesterday and was all "Damn, I hope @jpiper20 is ok!" haha
hahaha I'm back!
Yes! I'm glad I can go ahead and cancel that steem search party. Haha
