I'm addicted to steemit.

Addiction is probably one of the hardest our society has had to cope with for hundreds of years until now. Addiction comes as gambling, cigarettes, alcohol and drugs. Addiction is a growing problem that tons of people have to deal with every single day.

In our society today, the Internet has taken over the world. That's right, THE WORLD. So now we have online gambling, gaming and even the dark web. The newest addition to this list is cryptocurrency addiction. For bitcoin, shit popped off in 2014 when a bunch of people who invested money early on and were pretty much just trying it out, became million and billionaires. This is when the value was nearly $1300. Most of these people instantly became Bitcoin enthusiasts and started using it fas a way to make a lot of money fast, without worrying about anything in the world.

As users started to learn more about the Bitcoin system and make a lot of quick money, many of them became obsessed with cryptocurrencies. As these individuals began to slowly run out of Bitcoin they started investing actual, hard earned money, into the coin, possibly losing even more money in the long run. For many, it came down to selling the Bitcoin and investing in things that were irrelevant. Yes, Bitcoin is meant to be used for any and everything but there should always be a limit on how much someone spends with it in terms of time AND money. Half the people who lose lost all their Bitcoin due to dumb decisions instantly purchase more as an effort to either double their money or have nothing at all. They pretty much dig themselves deeper and deeper into debt. There are plenty of people who use Bitcoin as a positive thing, I just want to hear your opinion on whether it is addicting or not.

My question now is, has steemit become an addiction? I myself will admit I check my steemit blogs constantly throughout the day. Do you check yours a lot? I see a ton of people on steemit with A LOT of money. What are they doing with this money? Are they cashing out and bettering their lives with it? Are they converting it to Bitcoin and furthering an addiction? I am just so confused at what is actually going on with all of the money steemit is gathering. I haven't tried cashing in any money made on steemit thus far. Have you? I see accounts on here with over 1 million in it and I just think to myself, can they really cash that out and become a millionaire?? Please feel free to explain or state your opinion. This is an open discussion, there are just a few things I don't quite understand.

I love steemit. I love sharing my stories and reading other people's stories. Making money from it is definetely a plus. I am in no way bashing steemit. I just want to know your opinion on this particular topic. Let's not venture out on irrelevant subject matters..
