Kalik a man who wants to help! (Project update #1)

During a meeting with young people organized by me at the Youth Socio-therapy Centre will take part @kalikalejawp, a Polish rapper who agreed to talk about his life. A life that was difficult, full of problems and difficulties, which he has faced and won a new life.
His person will definitely reach the attention of young people and show them that it is worth following their dreams.

Today I decided to introduce to you the story of Kalik. Below you will find some information about him, which he prepared for me.




The music itself, I knew when I was only a few years old. I remember like today, when I was sitting on the floor next to my mother looking at the moving hints of Unitra TV to the rhythm of the song Tanity Tikaram - Twist In My Sobriety

I was not aware of the lyrics, hypnotized by the melody and charmed by the music itself, which is with me all my life to this day. It was the first track I was given to hear or remember, not counting the familiar melody from a child music box. ;)


In 1995 Liroy's album "Alboom!" was released and the record sale of 500,000 copies is an impressive result and at the same time the best commercial success in the history of Polish hip-hop, which probably nobody in Poland has ever repeated (I can be wrong) and will probably not do it anymore, although times have changed, the distribution of music has changed and it looks quite different.
Later my cousin showed the first Slums Attack album on a recorded cassette and there was no turning back. It is nothing that I was too young to focus on words and understand anything, but it was pure magic....
Nobody understood me better than the music

When I was getting older and older, listening to the lyrics of different artists of cult numbers like "Armagedon". "The City Swamp" or "Rap sneaky" adding something more cult from the album "Nastukafszy" I felt an incredible bond, I felt like someone really understood me in the end. Those were times when there was no Internet, and the songs themselves were a source of certain information and carried a message, often presenting the realities in which we found ourselves.

We were recording mainly from a passion, from time to time some common tracks and from the old line-up I've stayed alone and today I'm sure that I can't live without what I'm doing. In 2012 I went to the UK, and there together with Adok - rapper from Bytom, we recorded our debut album "Everything is Illumination" realizing that humble dream which was to release the album. Currently, everything is solo. For my own needs, I've even learned to shoot videos that I post on YouTube or local websites such as DLive or Dtube. Currently I am not affiliated with any label, working under my own Label like WarSaw - Label Media Brand ( https://web.facebook.com/warsawlabelmediabrand ) I am glad that there are still people who can appreciate the contribution and work that I have put into every track and every video production.

Somehow I don't like rapper's "label", I just write lyrics and put them under the music. I've never been fascinated by just rhyming for rhyming. I've always put a lot of focus on the content, regardless of whether I was creating a reflexive or an entertaining track. I'm not impressed by fake productions or illusory richness, I've always tried to persuade listeners to reflect through the songs. Give something more than just a cluster of random words arranged in rhymes.
