WELCOME TO NYC

in #photography9 years ago

This is literally an every morning rush for NYC commuters . You stand and wait for a train to come , it is always full or half full , then everyone rushes to get on , literally body to body , and still people are left without a ride . You wait for another train and for another couple of minutes , this is life of mornings , and rush hour of the evening . I would say it's easier to have a car but it's really not , you get stuck in traffic everywhere you go in the city , and it's worse than train traffic . No matter how early you leave , it's like you still end of being late . You pay $2.75 for a ride that you'd not enjoy at all , you stand up and get pushed around when the next stop comes and people want to get on as well, this does not just happen for trains but MTA busses as well, difference is , for the bus you have to make a line to get on, once you get on , you're still attached to people hehe ..

I have never been to NY, but thanks to all your pics I already have the feeling I've been there! Always hated commuting when I lived in Belgium. That's why I ussualy took my bicycle. Have a great day Farwa ;)

Hehe you should be happy where you live :) thank you Amy , enjoy your night :)

I sure am feeling blessed to be able to live in this beautiful country! Have a great day ;)

my youngest sis who just went to nyc tells the same story

Story of our life :/

The big cities are like malls, the work to bring everything into a specific area, but the costs will eventually drive folks away.

I sure hope so , it's working so far as I've seen

I know that feeling. Every time I get on the L train...it looks just like that. And you're right, having a car is no bargain either. The BQE is the worst!

Totally agree , the L train is horrible too . Along with city traffic

Nothing to do
life goes on
with these rush

I'm glad I am DONE with living in cities... did so for many years-- not as crowded as NYC-- and really can't say I miss it.

I came from upstate at first so it was tough to get used to , in sure if I move I'd enjoy that

Oh... I should try that one day... but for the moment I'm happy in my room :-)

Nice photo and description. Thanks for sharing about the NYC morning commute. I had no idea it was like that. Thanks

I'm sure you guys love where you live now

That is exactly what I was thinking. If I'm going to pressed up against someone else, it had better be @mama-pepper.

Got so used to it . No other way out . And totally agree , rather have it be my husband or I can wait a couple of trains

I've visited NY and experienced the trains and grand Central Station. I was amazed by the seeming endless hordes of humans trekking around the myriad of levels. And it was an interesting place to visit. However, after my visit, I was very happy to put "Gotham" in my rear view. Thanks for the reminder. ;-D

Hehe, I'm glad I brought back memories :D humans going crazy like zombies
