Greetings Friends welcome to my new post. Today I come to show you one of my favorite crafts! A necklace with a secret heart!

Saludos Amigos bienvenidos a mi nuevo post. Hoy les vengo a mostrar una de mis manualidades favoritas! Un collar con corazón secreto!

I made this craft some time ago for my wife and the truth is that both she and I were enchanted by the mechanism so simple but so complex in itself. This secret heart is based on the movie "The Illusionist", and the truth is that I was fascinated with its operation so I decided to investigate and the result is what I bring you today.

Esta manualidad la realice hace algún tiempo atrás para mi esposa y la verdad que tanto ella como yo quedamos encantados debido al mecanismo tan simple pero tan complejo en si mismo. Este corazón secreto está basado en la película “El Ilusionista”, y la verdad que como en su momento quede fascinado con el funcionamiento así que decidí investigar y el resultado es lo que hoy les traigo.

This necklace works with neodymium magnets, very but very powerful magnets! You can get them on hard disks or laptop screens as well as wood and steel wire for the ring where the cord will enter. So basically you need 5 materials to finish it: wood, magnets, wire, an old plastic pencil and some glue.

Este collar funciona con imanes de neodimio, unos imanes muy pero muy potentes! Que se pueden conseguir en discos duros o en pantallas de laptops además de la madera y alambre de acero para el aro donde entrara el cordón. Así que básicamente se necesitan 5 materiales para culminarlo: madera, imanes, alambre, un lapicero de plástico viejo y un poco de pegamento.

The mechanism is the most difficult thing that as you will see in the video I will leave at the end is based on getting 2 equal halves of the pen and sticking them in 2 of the 4 parts that make up the necklace and in the other two parts a slit is made according to the size of the pieces cut from the pen.

El mecanismo es lo más difícil que como verán en el video que dejare al final se basa en conseguir 2 mitades iguales del lapicero y pegarlas en 2 de las 4 partes que conforman el collar y en las otras dos partes se hace una hendidura conforme al tamaño de las piezas cortadas del lapicero.

This craft takes time to perform and also requires surgical precision to make the cuts in wood because the pieces to have the slightest unevenness will not work.

Esta manualidad lleva su tiempo realizarla además que requiere precisión quirúrgica para hacer los cortes en madera ya que las piezas al tener el mas mínimo desnivel no funcionara.
