Verse of the Day- Jesus the Horn of Salvation
“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, because he has come to his people and redeemed them. He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),

The Horn of Salvation
Jesus was sent to be the horn of Salvation to mankind. Zechariah got this thought in the Old Testament from the book of Psalm chapter 92 verse 9 to 10
"9 For, lo, thine enemies, O Lord, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil."
The horn is a sign of strength and a means of victory. In Micah 4:13 God says to Jerusalem, "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion, for I will make your horn iron and your hoofs bronze; you shall beat in pieces many peoples."
This Christmas Season, let us remember that Jesus is our Horn of Salvation. Our Strength in times of weakness, Our deliverer in times of danger and our healer in times of sickness. Let's celebrate His birth with this thought. When we have this thought, we can be a peace in times of troubles and in weariness.
