Why this defections from one part to the other?

One thing to note is that this defection is from one ruling part to the opposition party {that is the part that every body knew will take up power next general election }
I will get to the root of this whole political pandemonium but first let talk defection in Nigerian politics.

The people Democratic Party ( PDP)
ruled the Nigeria political scene for almost 2 decades, by then it was minimal political struggle, the only problem there had was inward, and that is the party primary election, the person that wins is automatically the president. Then opposition party was just a man against the whole world, but something happened that changed the Nigerian politics, that was the year of 2013 / 2014, minor parties of 24 came together to form the first strong opposition part for the first time in Nigeria.

Ever since then nigerian politicians has not really been able to hid there through political motives, it was like a joke until President Muhammad buhari took over power with his new coalition parties, and his party became the ruling party, and threw the formal into opposition for the very first time.
After that general election, the formal witness great defection to the ruling party., non of them wants to be in the opposing side, it took just very few who defined there politics moves to remain as the opposition, but it was never easy for them. There were massively witch hunted, that was the days when there atrocities stood in front of them, infact most of them fainted in the court room during their trials, some even wept shameful, while some ended up in jail.
But one thing was sure, those that defected was never persecuted for their wrongs, and until now party immunity shadowed their sins.

Now why this great defection again

The question is clear, actually Nigeria politics is run by some powerful individuals, OK, remember Nigeria 4th Republic president?
His name is OBASANJO in fact most people called him the president maker, because who ever he sides? Wins the election. He was a key player to the success of the present ruling part, { even if that has a meaning to his own political ambition }. But one thing is sure, he hates to be disobeyed by any president, so if you must remain in power? You must do his bidding, But the incumbent also is a man that takes orders from no one. Which has resulted in a fall out between both of them, that the president even threatened to probe his past administration as president, of course OBASANJO has a not to hid, so he viciously stayed in the ruling for 3 years and not until now his defected to the persecuted opposition which was his formal part for almost two decades,

So now you know the reasons for this present defection in Nigeria politics, these stomach infrastructural politicians are all defecting for a perceived possible take over of OBASSANJO sponsored political party, none of them Wants to ever be in an opposition, their political history is filled with sins that needs to be cleared out in the court, but they keep ruling from one ruling party to the other, they perceive that whatever party OBASSANJO sides will win, not because the present contradicts their political manifesto because they don't even have any manifesto, no political ambitions.
