HOW POULTRY FARMING HAS BEEN A SOURCE OF FOOD AND INCOME

HELLO STEEMIANS , this my second article for the celestial challenge initiated by @sirknight. I hope this article meets your taste . Thanks to @druids and @omonosa for their lecture on embedding and sourcing photographs.
I 'll be talking about how poultry farming has been a source of food firstly. My father happens to have a poultry farm and I have been an active participant in the running of this poultry since since my primary school days.
Well poultry farming has to do with the rearing of chicken birds . It becomes a source of food for the public as people normally comes to patronize life chicken when they are in need of meet. This is usually on demand during the festive periods.
Also as the owners of a poultry farm , we also utilize the opportunity of owning chickens by slaughtering any chicken we see to be fit for me for our personal consumption. And also on periods where there is high demands for meat we normally have fast foods patronize us.
On the aspect of income generation , we also get involved in the brooding of day old birds which are sold at 6weeks to individuals that practice homestead. This no doubt brings forth money from the profit made.
When i say its a ly a source of income trust me i really mean it. One proof is that am from a family of 8 and this poultry farming venture actualky sustained everyone of financially through school. Nevertheless it costs a lot of hardwork on our part. But trust me the saying "hard work pays " true in our case.
Another area is the sales of the waste manure to horticulturists and olericulturists in order to boost the productions and girls of their crops.
Also on my own little plantain farm I also apply manure to the farm and this have greatly improved the yield from the farm. I get to sell most of the plantain harvested as my family cannot get to finish all the produce harvested.
We also have layers which lays eggs . Egg is a high demand commodity . We sell these eggs also to yield income. As @omonosa said in his previous post "imagine chicken rearing in a larger scale".
conclusion
Poultry farming from my experience is a very lucrative and profitable venture both to the pocket and to the belly of one practicing it.

These are the fresh wastes which becomes manure after some time. It should be noted that using of fresh waste as this on your crop will kill the crop completely, so it should be allowed to decay .
