CHRISTMAS IN NUMBERS

Happy New Year 2018, with Health and Numeral Success, Friend on Steeemit.

Christmas, also known as Easter or Commemoration of the Nativity of Jesus Christ, is one of the most important annual festivals of Christianity, along with the dates of Resurrection and Pentecost.

Dates Conflict

.- According to various historians, the date of Christmas was taken from the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere, on December 21.

.- According to the Book of Luke, Jesus born six months after John the Baptist. According to Theologians, John was born in March and therefore, Jesus was born between September and October.

  • The specific date of the birth of Jesus Christ was established in the year 350 by Pope Julius I (later corrected from the Julian calendar by Pope Gregory, December 25, in his Gregorian calendar, of current use).

Numeric Data

.- Over 2,000 million Christians around the world celebrate the date of Christmas, to which are added more than 1,000 million non-Christians, who also celebrate it, but under other motivations.

.- 60% of pets receive Christmas gifts from their owners, only if they celebrate this date.

.- 80% of those who celebrate Christmas, receive at least one gift.

.- Ironically Christmas trees grow for more than 10 years before being cut, sold and to last less than 30 days as a Christmas ornament.

.- Approximately 50,000 men disguise themselves worldwide (especially in the United States) to interpret in shopping centers, parties and Christmas events.
