There are many good uses of Artificial Intelligence
Greetings friends of Project Hope, I hope you are all very well, and that this weekend that is about to begin will be very profitable for everyone.
In this opportunity I would like to comment on something that I see with good eyes based on the use of artificial intelligence. Since a few months ago there have been many criticisms towards this specific area, even bringing attempts of regulation by governments, a stance by some powerful people against further progress in this technology in an "uncontrolled" way.
But just yesterday I saw a video showing one of the possibilities of using Artificial Intelligence that can be of great support for some communities with great needs.
A clear example of this is in the case of rural communities that do not have access to medical services, of course, we can not say that ultimately as we know today AI we can have a 100% reliable medical advice, however, it can be in the future a great tool in these areas where they do not have enough support.
Particularly I can say that studying medicine in a country like Colombia is super expensive, that is why there are few doctors and always health services are saturated, I know that the same can happen in many African countries, for example, or in remote areas of developed countries, why not?.
Another way in which AI could be very helpful is in the case of language learning. We know that very often language courses such as English, French, German, tend to be very expensive, so the use of AI can have a very good application in this case, and this is part of the good uses that Artificial Intelligence could have in several areas.
So not everything should be seen as a bad thing in the use of this technology. While it is true that we have a lot of risks in this one, the reality is that, as with everything, we should always look for ways to see both poles of anything, both the pros and cons, because ultimately I think everything has it.
