Revaluing Outdoor Life

in GEMS4 years ago

It is very likely that after all this happens, the assessment that was made in relation to certain things is a totally different one. I hope so.

With these weeks or months that we will surely remain limited from the outside and from some environments such as beaches and parks, the most certain thing is that once we can enjoy them again we will see them with new eyes, and surely that need to take care of them and keep them safe will be expressed in greater proportion in all.

Maybe it's a bit utopian to think about it (I hope not) but I'd rather be positive and believe that we'll be a better humanity after we get through this pandemic. There was a growing need - possibly manipulated by advertising - to go to shopping malls, discos, cinemas, and other fashionable spaces, I think the banning of those spaces can lead to an understanding that it is not necessary to spend so much money on that, and that there are more ways to share, have healthy and outdoor fun.

I'm not one of those who thinks that limiting oneself to a diversion like watching a movie in the cinema is the norm, but that it's not a priority, I do believe that, there are ways to have a good time, to share in a healthy way in contact with nature, for children it's something that they like a lot, they really enjoy it, without a doubt there are things that we should take up again.

We were used to using public transport which is always insufficient, especially in big cities, and because of this same reality the hours considered of great affluence of people often corresponded to hours of waiting to get on some transport that would take us to our destinations.

And in general with an agglomeration of people inside them that makes it impossible to make even the slightest movement. Predisposing, in these circumstances of pandemic, the spread of the virus, so its use has been limited by keeping people at home with the measure of quarantine, however, once we finish getting out of this situation, I wonder:

What will be the way in which we address this as a society?

And likewise, what will governments do to limit the possibilities of these practices becoming normal again through legislation?

Many unknowns about many things, but changes will surely come, perhaps not in all but in a good part of us.
