My memories of beach and Reggae
I remember something very particular when I was a teenager, on those so-called beach excursions that used to be done a lot in my country (Venezuela), those that were organized by local people, who rented a bus that we all paid for the transportation.
The particular thing was not that, of course, is that always the music they placed on the way back and forth was Reggae, as a child still did not understand why, but I simply liked the rhythm, go to the beach (which I also enjoy), I felt that the music really correlated with the freedom of being on it. From there I always related reggae with the wonder of going to the sea. And so it is that just by listening to some of Bob Marley's or UB 40's songs, that fond memory comes to mind on the way to that awaited walk in community, in family.

I didn't understand practically anything of the English language at the time, so the depth of the message as such was not perceived from my child's mind, much less without understanding the language, but the music simply was and remains transcendental.
Of course, I'm talking about more than 25 years ago, the late 80's and early 90's, Reggae was playing a lot in those years. Obviously, you grow up, and you start to understand many things, you are interested in knowing beyond the simple and everyday, and you want to know why (in addition to the good memory in relation to travel) that music catches you.
I don't remember exactly when I started to listen to music, maybe I wasn't fully aware of it, or maybe I wasn't even born yet, but I know I'm glad to hear it, since I was little my inclination to learn to play the guitar that something that was present until adolescence, moment in which I could finally acquire one with my first salary and in a little less than a month and a half I was already playing it. I think I got a little off track, but... I'd better continue...
Now I understand why a walk to the beach had to be accompanied by Reggae music and why it goes so well. Jamaica, as an island, from where this musical style and its maximum exponents arise, enjoys paradisiacal beaches that we should definitely be able to know at some point, not only that is clear to me, but something beyond and deeper than the relationship beach/Reggae..
I mean by that sensation of freedom that (without understanding the language) conveyed to me the music itself. No doubt for anyone that the greatest exponent of this musical style, let's say that who made it known worldwide was Bob Marley, within his lyrics there was always the message of equality, freedom and peace.
More than 35 years have passed since its physical disappearance, but it is still a milestone, an idol, an example that through peace and love war can be ended, or better yet, it can be avoided.
I close this reflection with the following phrase from the great Reggae:
If dog and cat can be together why can't we all love each other?
Bob Marley

hahah great way to end the write up.Looking forward to more of your blogs. Nice graphic with the character by the boat.
Yes, I thought it was a very suitable phrase to concretize what I wanted to say.
We will continue to read each other. Of course we will.
Trying to do something different with the publications, although the use of emoji can be fun, it gives some work to be able to design something acceptable hahaha.
Thank you @dmilliz
Cool story and great writing, hope to see more of you around here.
Oh, yes, of course I do. We'll keep on reading, friend @crypticat
It's been a while since I wrote about reggaesteem... But listening to music inspired me.
I will continue to inspire me. Thanks :-)
@josevas217, Old days were Golden One and i can say those were the days when we lived every moment of life no matter sad or happy moments, now life became so fast and sometimes we don't know we have feelings anymore. Stay blessed.

"Now life has become so fast and sometimes we don't know if we have feelings"
Hello friend @chireerocks, I must say that phrase has made me reflect ... you're right, I think now matters more ephemeral and superficial than other things more basic but equally more transcendental.
Years go by so quickly that when we least remember we are talking about 30 years ago, and if we remember as we enter adulthood those things that filled us so much as a child were totally forgotten. For me it's a good way to start the day with that phrase.
Thank you.
Start your everyday with Childfulness and Joyfulness. 🙂
