Are you chasing your dreams or the dreams of others?
Hello community of Project Hope and all the users of this platform, I hope your week goes very well, I have a question for everyone:
Are you clear about your vision in life?
The truth is that this is a forceful question for everyone, in theory it should be an easy question to answer, but I know that it is not, because we do not always have clear our goals, and by not being so we are sensitive to modify our path towards something that perhaps we do not like but that is where the winds take us, why? in general for not having vision and clear goals ... that simple.
Recently, in conversations with @crypto.piotr, he shared a very interesting video of an actor that I really don't like very much, I think he is bad in the movies, however, when I see this video I know the human, that dreamy man with clear goals since childhood that without a doubt I can say is worthy of admiration for his achievements. Keep reading and know much more about what I want to talk about, I know you will be interested.
In this case I want to talk about some words that the actor Arnold Schwarzenegger gave, in a speech that is really very motivating, it is a short video, of little more than 10 minutes, but that summarizes part of his life and how he managed to reach what he is, starting from the goals he set for himself in his childhood. But if you don't have enough time, here are what I think are the two important points that this successful man leaves us with in his speech.
He mentions two RULES, the first of which is
To have a vision.
How do you see yourself in the future in the short, medium and long term?
These are simple things that we must clarify, visualize well, since this is what will allow us to work to achieve it. It is not enough to visualize, we have to work on it, to do it, give our best day by day so that what we visualize in our mind becomes reality. Things do not come by themselves, if they are our dreams, our desires we must work for them, don't you think so?
Because what can happen if you don't have clear goals... well, there will be someone who if they have their vision clear and will make you work to help them achieve it, but it won't be yours, it won't necessarily fill you with satisfaction, will it? Then, to make this point, you must be very clear about what you want, how you see yourself in the future, that will lead you to establish strategies to achieve what you are looking for, and of course, you have to work hard to achieve it, things will not fall from the sky, without any effort.
And if you focus on your objectives, you will be able to achieve what you want over time, and also enjoy the process, since it is something that you yourself sought, which will lead you to achieve what you want so much. Focus, without a doubt, is one of the keys to success.
For now, in this first part I conclude with this that Arnold Schwarzenegger called as the first rule, as you see, it is nothing complicated, but we must focus, have conversations with ourselves and clarify what we are really looking for, so that we can then head in that direction and not be taken anywhere, as if we were *"a leaf in the wind".

I believe to go far in life, one must habe a vision backed up with a focus objective to achieve the vision
Objectives, certainly, those are the ones that are guiding us every step to achieve that great vision
we must have the vision and the mission of what we want to obtain in our lives very clear, in that I agree coming from that celebrity is very good advice stay focused, motivated and have planned everything is necessary.
You always have to foresee what can happen that often things get out of control.
But, by keeping the focus, we can move in that direction.

Very good article, I think it would be good to hear that video, certainly the ideal would always be to have a clear vision of our life and our goals, but it is not always so, sometimes we are lost in our own world, but I agree that we have to set goals for us to lead a fuller life.
A life journey without a vision of purpose is an aimless work that ends at nowhere. It is crucial to be aware of one's direction in life.
Certainly, going aimlessly is like being in a kind of shipwreck, that we do not know where the tide will take us.

Finally I've found some time to catch up and read few previously bookmarked posts. Interesting choice of topic :P lol
I also found it so much easier to be succesful in life, work and any kind of career if we have vision of what we want to achieve. Drifting without vision, purpose and goals is very frustrating and usually doesn't get us anywhere.
I know where I want to be in 3-5 years. But if you ask me where I want to be in half year from now (with my work, life etc) then I will be quite ... blur :P
