As Steemians, we are all very lucky to know about Steemit while billions of people are on Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Tiktok, etc. wasting their time without getting paid for posting, commenting, sharing, and so on. But here we are on Steemit, earning cryptocurrency from the contributions we are making to communities and sharing our posts due to the benevolent nature of the Steem blockchain.

I joined this great platform, Steemit, on September 26, 2020. From the very day that I becsme a Steemian, I have been earning STEEM tokens from posting and sharing my posts, and I have profited from the little money I used to buy Steemit for power up. I have participated in so many contests and published many guidelines and tutorials on Steemit, which I believe are very helpful to other Steemians and anyone else that has read through them.

Today I am going to combine what I have learned and experienced and share it with you so you can become successful Steemian and grow on this great platform, Steemit. Let's take a look at what I have discussed below.

Successful Steemit tips

Seek to Learn First, Then to Earn

In order to become successful in Steemit or in any work or business you intend to start, you must seek to first understand. Here on Steemit, seeking first to learn how Steemit works and how successful Steemians became successful will help you understand Steemit better and grow successful.

As a newbie who is on a new platform that is powered by the Steem blockchain and rewards users with Steem cryptocurrency, it's advisable that you spend at least 2 months understanding how the platform works. This is the reason why there is a newcomer community where you can learn how Steemit works and still earn cryptocurrency.

To learn about how Steemit works, check the Steemit FAQ and the Newcomer Achievement Tasks compiled by @cryptokannon. In the newcomer community, you will get to see users like @inspiracion, @ngoeyi, @goodybest, @juichi, and many others, who will guide you towards learning how the Steemit platform works.

On Steemit, there are no shortcuts to success.

Here on Steemit, there are no shortcuts for getting your post to be voted on or accumulating STEEM power overnight other than buying STEEM from external exchanges.

If you come with the mindset of getting rich quick, you will either be frustrated and leave Steemit or be caught for plagarism or farming an account and be muted from posting in the community. Here on Steemit, you should also know that upvoting for and upvoting doesn't work. Even if 100 of your friends vote on your post, you may still only earn up to $0.20 because they don't have enough Steem power.

Also, following for following doesn't work on Steemit. You may be thinking that if you follow someone or the person follows you, it is a guarantee that they will vote for your post. No, it is not. The only way to succeed here on Steemit is to work very hard and produce valuable contents, and people will surely reward you for providing value to the platform. If you're thinking of taking shortcuts, please delete such thoughts.

Consistently contribute to the platform

If you should ask successful Steemians or an experienced Steemian how he or she has achieved success, the person will give you the word "consistency." Consistency is what makes people know you faster than they expect. If you keep on contributing to a community, people will know you for doing valuable things on Steemit, and they will in turn start supporting you. Make a decision today to enhance other people's knowledge or do something valuable.

Always reply to comments and try to comment on other users' posts.

Replying to comments is one thing that I love doing on Steemit because it is a means by which I can interact with a user on the platform. The goal of the engagement challenge contest we are holding is to create interactions among Steemians. By the time you start dropping valuable comments on other people's posts, they will upvote your comment and, in turn, even follow you.

Participate in Steem Blockchain by Voting Your Witnesses

Witnesses are those responsible for maintaining the Steem blockchain, generating blocks, and updating the price of STEEM/USD. Witnesses are experts that manage the Steem blockchain and need our support to work better.

Finally, do not plagiarize, spam, or beg for upvotes.

On Steemit, plagiarism, spam, or begging for upvotes are highly prohibited. Plagiarism is when you copy and paste someone's post without citing the author or when you go and paraphrase someone's work. Spam is when your comments are not relevant to the content nor your comments, and you drop your links and do all sorts of things for the person to support you by all means.

Friend I have to stop here for now and continue another time. I hope you find this post useful. Thank you and remain blessed.
