Oh, why?

Today, on the day I had planned to visit the university for something so important, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) went on strike on the same day. Oh, why today? I felt so sad after hearing the news this morning, when I had already started preparing to be at the university by 10 am. This means I will have to travel back to where I was before coming to the town so I can arrive on campus earlier.

Oh, why me at the moment when I have already budgeted for a day like this to come? The news about the strike has left me confused at the moment, and it has jeopardized my plans for the week. Oh! Why allow me to book a hotel, and pay for services that would be postponed till further notice or when the strike is called off?

Oh! Why ASUU today? Would my boss at the office permit me to travel again whenever the strike is over? Oh yes, he will, since he is aware of the strike and since it wasn't my fault, but that of the government. Oh! Why did the Nigerian government even allow this to happen in the first place, knowing the importance of education?

At the moment, I am contemplating whether I should go back or stay for 2 days and see if things will be resolved today. Oh, why would I even think of staying when the government isn't showing any concern? Do I even have the money to finance my stay here? Oh, why at this time that I need to do something very important in the university, it then became ASUU vs Federal Government.
