A Mistake I Made and What I Have Learned

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE4 months ago

A mistake is something that can happen at any time as no one is above mistakes. However, the ability of one to overcome his or her mistake is what makes the person see mistakes as nothing, but a minute something that can happen at any time. Let's dive deeper into the contest tips as organized by @goodybest.

How do you view mistakes?

Simply put, "Mistakes" is something right, which is done in a wrong way. From my point of view, mistakes are something that has bad results or that which is not sensible. We all like to do something right, to avoid making mistakes which by the time we end up doing things the wrong way it is called mistakes.

Mistakes are inevitable something that we can't run away from which means they can happen at the time one doesn't expect such things to happen. To this, I view mistakes as something that is wrongly done without one knowing if such a thing would happen.

What mistake do you make recently?

The mistake that I made recently was the mistake of me putting too much salt in the okra soup I was cooking. Instead of me to use spon and fetching the salt before putting it inside the salt, I went and tore the leather and began turning (pouring) the salt into the salt I was cooking.

Because of my mistake of putting too much salt into the food, I was cooking, the soup became too salty and I was unable to eat the soup despite the ingredients in the soup. I tried to reduce the quantity of salt by adding water into the soup which still didn't reduce the amount of salt in the food.

What do you learn from the mistake?

I have learned not to be operating my phone when cooking because it was the phone that I was operating that caused me to be distracted in the kitchen.

Also, I have learned how to put my salt into a container 🫙 and a small spoon inside the salt container that I will be using to measure the quantity of salt am to put in my food.

Ever since such a mistake happened to me, I have learned not to pour a sachet of salt into my food, which I have now avoided doing.
