Drugs are a constant battle for many in the world, sobriety is a bigger fight for most, but anyone can overcome the hardships with support and love from those close to, and even those who are mere strangers...
I have witnessed people at bus stops nodding off, looking very sick, and flipping around like a fish out of water. Moments like those have left a permanent image, and fear within me that I can't seem to remove.
Whether it be in an urban community or the suburbs, lives are taken from a needle to the arm, powder of some sort inserted through nostrils, or drinking themselves to a temporary coma. Drugs DO NOT DISCRIMINATE, and welcomes everyone, with all types of currency.
It is an epidemic that must be handled immediately, but will ever be controlled when the government seems to profit also ?

When You Self Medicate
You are wrong to think that you can self medicate
With it all… sex, pills, drugs, self-harm, or alcohol.
You are not on the right path to see things straight.
In the middle of the night I will not answer your call
When you are suffering from withdrawal because
You no longer have what you need to get high and
Strung out. You only needed me when the buzz
Wore off, making you feel empty. I understand
Where you were coming from, but not where
You were going because you try to hide yourself
Behind it all so well, always masking your bare
Emotions. Your hands, browsing the bookshelf,
But never being curious enough to open a book
And discover the world’s wonders. You would
Rather believe your own twisted lies and hook
People with your version of the “misunderstood”
Truth. Your words are doing nothing to match
Your actions, walking away without a scratch.
Most of the reasons for the spread of drug
Excessive freedom of children
And lack of awareness of teenagers how dangerous it is
The worst is the corruption of the drug control system from the top of the pyramid
The misinformation is definitely a huge part! Especially with things like heroin, kids are always told it'll destroy your life, lose all your money, your family, all you hold dear, ect...
Buuut then they or a friend try it and go "whoa! this isn't so crazy, I'm floating along on a cloud for the whole afternoon, and it only cost a dollar or two"
And with all the misinformation they don't realize how horribly slippery of a slope they're on until they're doing anything for the next hit and its hundreds and thousands of dollars a week because the tolerance explodes up disturbingly fast, and they can't ever stop because they Need it now.

We need more people like you to continue to bring awareness to the drug epidemic that's going on right now. I love that you are spreading the word for us to pay attention to it. We can't just keep ignoring it and throwing people who are hurting into jail to try to solve the problem. You are right, profit is to be made at the expense of very special people and lives.
It takes great empathy, but don't bleed yourself dry giving too much love and compassion.

Drug addiction, to eradicate the addiction it needs a strong willpower and commitment. If willpower gets weak just a miner the subject can't survive.It also needs a full support from family and friends. Also, Keep him busy in work.
