Mizu No Oto - Every Image Has Its Haiku Contest - WEEK #8
Saludos, apreciados amigos de @bananafish y participantes en la edición 8ª del Mizu No Oto - Every Image Has Its Haiku Contest. Desde que supe de este concurso, participo en él con mucho agrado, pues la poesía, y en este caso el haiku, me producen una atracción especial.
Así, comparto mi ejercicio, que intenta acercarse al arte del haiku, siguiendo aquella enseñanza del maestro Basho, muy ardua para nuestra mentalidad occidental: "Haiku es simplemente lo que está sucediendo en este lugar, en este momento" (citado en el prólogo de Haiku de las cuatro estaciones). En algo se cumple cuando nos situamos frente a la fotografía que nos proponen.
Luego de la fotografía propuesta, copio el texto original en español y una versión posible en inglés.
Las aves abrevan
Mansa luz, agua que pasa
Fluidez y calma
Versión aproximada en inglés:
The birds are drinking
Mild light, water that passes
Fluidity and calmness

Sugeriría una traducción más correcta al inglés:
the birds are drinking

fluidity and calmness
Gracias por su acotación. Hubo un problema con el traductor usado. El verbo "drink" como "beber" no me da la sutileza de "abrevar" en español. Saludos.
"imbibe" /imbaib/ pudiera servir
"subdued" /sobdiud/ (mansa) le haría el juego en sonoridad y creo que transmite mejor la idea de mansedumbre o aquietamiento que va con calma y fluidez.
No se si en términos de sílabas puedan usarse (ahí si no me meto) :)
Entiendo, en italiano, que es mi idiòma nativo, tambien cuando los animales beben, decimos "abbeverarsi", por los humanos "bere", pero el inglés no conoce esta distinciòn...
Oh i very much like this one, there is something very powerful about the translation of haiku's, they seem to work so much better
