Coconut Smoothie
This was a coconut smoothie I made on Sunday, in fact it is a fairly regular drink in my country, in every corner of Caracas there is a place where they exclusively sell these smoothies, only this flavor.

Ingredients
- A large coconut
- condensed milk
- milk
That's it! But if you want to add an extra touch or to decorate your smoothie, you can use chocolates, cookies, whatever you want.
First I started making condensed milk because... my friends, I took all that I had bought, and I had to do more at home, it is very easy to do.
The actual amount is per 1 liter of milk, 1 cup of sugar. But I took 1/4 of the ingredients because I only needed very little for that occasion.
So in a pot we add the milk it must be long-lasting liquid milk and we add the sugar and we are going to put it on medium heat until we see that it is already starting to boil, at this moment we proceed to lower the heat a little and let it cook until reduced, it will begin to change color, aroma and texture. The cooking time depends on the texture you want, since the more you cook the thicker it becomes.
I did not want it so thick because I really only needed the condensed milk flavor, once I got the flavor I removed it from the fire and let it rest.

I continued with the coconut that I bought, first we need to remove the water and reserve it in a container. The coconut has some holes, what I always do is that I use a tool, in this case I used a screwdriver and I nailed it to open the holes so that the coconut water can come out.



Once the coconut is empty we proceed to break it. To do this we can take the coconut with a handkerchief and with another hand give light blows with a hammer until it breaks.
Now we are going to extract the coconut from the shell, and we are going to chop it into small squares, I do it this way because my blender can spoil if I put very large pieces since it is a very regular blender.



And that would be all for a common coconut smoothie, now what we do is use a strainer because there will be quite a few very small pieces of coconut, we can reserve this and use them for something else.


I wanted it to have a different touch so I added cookies, I put the mixture already placed in the blender and I added pieces of cookies and I blended it again.

At the end of the glass I added the coconut that we had strained, so that the drink has a little texture, the authentic coconut smoothie from my country has fine pieces of coconut.


I had a decorated glass with chocolate from a smoothie that I actually made the day before and it's here on my blog, so I took advantage of this decorated glass to serve.

You have to do it with the cookies, I swear it tastes very good, it is excellent, it did not last a minute in my hand.
