Plaintiffs In Total Supplication. ~~~~~
The world is descending,
bickering bricks on hurl
like Jericho's wall,
as a lightning's cacophony,
a stage performance we believe not.
shattering through our defences,
like a sizzling spear
through the heart of brave knights
We come as plaintiffs,
pointing uncertain fingers
at plain thieves
hidden from within our sight
with agony on our throat
sweltering like a frog's gland
threatening to burst
and consume us from limb to limb
Our hands are clasped
in the humblest of postures
us and our diverse nomenclature
scattered in your holy land
ears peeled and eyes blind
rustling and clutching on nothing
to feel your precious arrival.
Like a Plaintiff in supplication
mumbling gentle prayers.
Our world is threatening to desert us,
in the middle of conflict and strife
unclad and bare,
with no means to fare
and no ears to adhere
Whistles in the fog,
and warnings of your calls
have we heed not,
we have been dogged to nought
like a water in basket
unwilling to wake from our slumber
We're plaintiffs in total supplication
seeking that which is lost.
we're here to appeal out cause
bearing no evidence of our contrition
yet, like a deep root, remorse
dwells in the murkiest place in the heart
