Does Euphemising The Truth Obscure The Plausibility Of Reality?

Euphemism which is a main stance in the vlog means reducing the effect of a statement of a fact, to make it less hurtful, more appealing and less aggressive, but does really reducing the effect of a fact makes it less of a reality? This video addresses the onus of euphemism appealing to the sentimental aspect of people, but does sentiment reduces the fact that fact is fact and cant reduce the effect of a situation or is it more wise to hold back in declaration of the truth? Expecially in emotional situation?
