How to Lock Computer Files and Folders?
We all use computers in our daily work. Now in this modern age, it is being used in every field. But as this is developing, along with some other techniques that are being developed, so that all the data on your computer can be hacked.
And your precious Files and Folder can be misused. It is thus necessary that some measures should be taken for its safety.
And we can do this by locking the Files And Folder on our computer. This will not only save us from our Data Hacker but also make our personal life more secure.

MS Windows has a great system. Locking Files And Folder is named after its EFS (Encrypting Files System). Through which we can lock files and folders in the window and secure it from any other user.These Windows versions work well in Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows Vista or Windows XP.
Follow the steps below to do this.
How to Lock Files And Folder via Encrypting Files System (EFS)
STEP 1. First you go to the folder or file that you want to lock.
STEP 2.> Right Click Now on that Folder. There will be a lot of options in front of you, click on Properties. For help see the picture below.
STEP 3.> Now a new window will open in front of you, click on Advanced button in General Tab. For help see the picture below.
STEP 4.> Now a new window will open again which looks like the bottom. Tick the Encrypt Contents To Secure Data from within the options available here.
STEP 5.> Now click on the Button OK button below. In a moment, this folder will be encrypted and you will see a Windows like below.
STEP 6.> If your folder has been successfully locked, it will look like a green color. See Figure below.
Note: If you lock files and folders through Encrypting Files System (EFS), you can also open and delete this folder until you are logged into your computer from your User Account. But logged in users from any other User Account will not be able to access your folder. If you want to access this folder from another user account, you will need an encryption key.When you are locking your folder, you will be asked to back up your Encryption Key through a popup. Please click on it to back up so that you can unlock your folder by using any of it in the future if there is a problem.In the back up process you will be asked to choose a password. Put the appropriate password in it, you can easily remember, click on Finish.
