There are companies that are starting out as engineers to do business on the moon and in the rest of space, whether they are engineers or any specialty linked to space, and there will also be a lot of charlatans who want to sell lunar plots, there will be a lot of that, you also have to look at who is in that company, qualified people, people who already have experience who have left NASA, other space companies, but it is going to be a boom in the lunar economy.

To begin with, the first thing to do is look for water to make fuel, not only to extract oxygen from the water of H2O to breathe, and the hydrogen can be used to make fuel and the fuel can be used to recharge spaceships. Currently, sending 1 kg to space costs a lot of money, and of course refueling a spacecraft that goes to Mars or another mission requires a lot of money, tons of fuel, so one of the first activities they will have at this base will be to manufacture fuel. First, for the Starships that land and leave the Moon, but then to supply fuel to the ships that go to Mars and of course to any other ship that wants to explore the solar system.

And there we also enter into lunar mining, the example of helium 3, helium 3 is an isotope of helium that can only be found on the moon, on the lunar surface and on the surface of asteroids and Mercury and little else, because on Venus it cannot be found and on Mars it can be found, but in very small quantities, because Helium 3 is expelled by the sun in the solar wind, but of course, the Earth has a protective magnetic field, so We repel that solar wind and the helium 3 never reaches the Earth, what there is of Helium 3 on Earth is practically products of nuclear reactions and little else, but the Moon is full of helium 3 on the surface.

Lunar regolith would have to be harvested to extract helium 3 and helium 3 is used for nuclear fusion, to obtain fusion energy, and it is not right now the main element in the recipe to achieve nuclear fusion, because Helium 3 and tritium combined with the other isotope of hydrogen would be ideal because they do not produce radioactivity, they do not produce radioactive waste, in other words, but the problem is that a very high fusion temperature is needed and it is complicated.

Now it has another advantage in space and that is that helium 3, unlike other hydrogen isotopes, is practically eternal, it does not disintegrate, Helium 3 is practically eternal, it can exist for billions of years, so you load Helium 3 in your fuel tank of your spacecraft and you can send that spacecraft to the next Centauri or to any star, you can make trips of thousands of years, this is the advantage of helium 3. Apart from the fact that in space it makes energy from Fusion using helium 3 is easier than doing it on Earth, so perhaps it is a good element in terms of lunar mining, to extract and be profitable.

Here on Earth, I already tell you that bringing helium 3 to Earth may not happen, because there are other more effective recipes to achieve nuclear fusion and achieve it in a more profitable way here on Earth, because here on Earth what is wanted, the nuclear function is fundamentally to produce electricity.

The biggest problem is that the fusion is slow, it is true and it is complicated, but they will achieve it, it is the step that we need to overcome to reach another level of civilization, because it is that type of energy that the sun makes and we would have an enormous amount of energy, but the problem is that to obtain that energy, and the sun cheats a little, the sun has at bottom is a gravity engine because what the sun does is due to its gigantic mass to gravitationally press its core and there make the fusion, in the Earth you need those gigantic amounts of heat and those gigantic amounts of pressure and the only way at the moment is through magnetic fields to contain that very hot plasma because if not it is impossible.
