I wasn't going to post on steemit for a while, but late on a saturday night, when i'm here listening to some incredible music, it'd be rude not to share these shithot sounds.

Limited - Screw Up

A few weeks ago i came across a drum & bass producer i'd not heard of before, who goes by the artist name Limited, when i noticed he/she was on the legendary Prototype recordings, i thought, well this artist must have something pretty special to get on prototype. Prototype is a jungle/drum & bass label that has been at the forefront of all the real heavy shit since 1993 and was founded by a legend, DJ Grooverider. Go check out the back catalogue and you'll see what i mean.

So i clicked play on 2 of Limited's tracks.. "Screw up" and "Slug From A45" the latter's title made me laugh as i know the A45 well from driving up and down it for work when i (lived?) in Coventry for god knows how many years. But yeah, they meant A 45 caliber gun.

Anyway, Limited is one to watch for sure, you can hear he or she know's their dnb. All about that heavy drum & bass that will get you moving.

GLXY - Mind Less (feat. BLAKE)

Here's a song i also only discovered in the last couple weeks, i believe this was released last year and did really well, but i was obviously late to the party with this . The production is excellent and when i heard the vocal, i was trying to think to myself who Blake was, but the truth is both producer and singer were new to me. Blake is an amazing singer, i did a bit of digging and found out the New Zealand girl, now in the UK has so much exquisite work, not only in drum & bass, but in other genres too.

Goldie - Sensual

Of course, man like Goldie needs no intro, the pioneer, but we have to drop a classic and there is none better than his track "Sensual". This track originally came out in 1995 on his masterpiece album " Timeless". This track is still true to the album and is a propa fooking timeless classic!

Milesybwoy Ft. Murphy - Persuasive Talk [LAK7-09]

Here's another new discovery from an artist called Milesybwoy featuring Murphy. Sounds like a really great funky house track, infectious bassline and vocal sampling make this an instant banger. Had this on replay for the last week, another one i vehemently recommend flexing your skank to.

Lily Allen - Family Man

Some might say i'm dipping into the mainstream here, but with Lily Allen i wouldn't necessarily put her in that category, especially as her sound matures into gems like "Family Man" taken off her latest album released this year. I have a soft spot for Lily as i grew up with her music, her older stuff was fun and she always worked with talented producers, she's my age and i like the way she just does what the heck she wants in the face of seemingly so many trolls and haters, she's a wee bit anarchic and i've always respected that in her.

With her latest album entitled "No Shame" you can hear her music developing into something quite special, with real substance, not that her old stuff wasn't special or didn't have substance, but she's clearly not making music on the demands of these big record labels now and like i say her sound and lyrics are maturing into something much more soulful.

Underworld - Dark and Long (Dark Train Mix)

I'm sure most music fans who read know who Underworld are, perhaps their music is most famous for starring in the movie Trainspotting in the 90s. Underworld are an electronic music band that formed way way back in 1980 and having released many albums and cult classics, the music they put out has stood the test of time also.

I have seen the band live and they are well known for putting on the best live shows, they do not disappoint. Underworld's most famous track is "Born Slippy" released in 1996 and also featuring in Trainspotting, it was a defining track in my generation and got the most love, but my favorite was a track they did back in 1994 entitled "Dark and Long" a ten minute long Techno masterpiece.

If you've yet to hear this, you're in for a treat.

Thanks for reading.. listening.

Just a late night blog. Stay true and Injoy! (Jon)
