Steem didn't see any new apps launched in Q2

After seeing continued growth in the number of apps on the steem blockchain for years, it was a bit stagnant in Q2 of this year.

As you can see there were no new apps built on steem in Q2 of this year.

The chain split just prior to this quarter and many of the app builders migrated to other chain.

Also of note is the fact that many of the most popular apps on steem moved to the other chain as well.

It's time for steem to start building again.

What are the plans for steem going forward? Beyond the curation efforts taking place on steemit.blog are there other plans to create value on/with steem?

It would be great to see a roadmap going forward.
