Facebook's data breach good for Steemit?
Thinking about everything going on currently with facebook should underscore why we need decentralized systems.
If a centralized system has your data, it's going to be stolen at some point, that is basically a fact of life that everyone should be coming to the realization of.
Which is why blockchain and cryptocurrency is so interesting in the first place.
Perhaps Facebook's folly might be the leak in the dam that starts a mass migration over to something like steemit.
It could be very good for Steemit for sure! We can only hope it starts the fall of Facebook anyway ;) If Steemit or a DApp built on the Steem Blockchain becomes the go-to Social Media App, Steem is at least $100 (if it is a mass adopted platform, that is).

I heard this on the radio at work the other day and laughed a little, I have to admit. I feel bad for those whose info has been compromised but I see this stuff happening more and more. Pushing people to something new... Steemit
