Debate the future of btc

The bar looks high for btc ever working as money, though there are still merits to owning it:

If blockchain develops, it could end up being bad for the price of bitcoin as other alternatives exist. 

However, bitcoin can always fork their code to better take advantage in advancements in technology.

Forks are always coming.
